Hehe... "the lightest e-bikes in the world". Doncha just love marketing?

Hehe... Promo says "Distance 60km"... without noting how much the rider might pedal. :) Ya can pedal for warmth and for exercise, but also to extend the range... and extend the life of the battery by shaving off peak power outputs at start ups and up hills etc. (Promoters don't mention how much of a tail wind ya might have either. hehe)

EDIT: EVen HALF that... "suggested" range would serve me fine for most trips around town to get to the next charge point. (Any "standard" AC plugin.) Plus? Have Charger Will Travel.

43 miles on a 10.2 Ahr battery
Why do I suspect the specifications fail the reality test?
Caveat emptor

Well said, Sir. Thank you.
Completely believable. Of course, when pedaling is included the range is nearly infinite, but we have E-S members who report those numbers @ 25 KPH max. with constant pedaling and minimal stop/starts.

^^ Yah. Watt he said. Per Giggle Maps "92.6 km via Martin Goodman Trail"... I rode a "heavy" trike - using pedal-assist - from Scarborough to Hamilton, Ontario w/one Li-flavoured "nominal" 48V... "nominal" 10 amp-hours battery on one charge. Pretty much flattered the poor battery though... (I'm a bad boy) So just over 58 in real American MILES terms...

I wonder about a hub motor on my road bike. I live on the aero bars, running 140 beats per minute, perhaps I too could get really high miles per watt hour of battery.

Hehe... Ya have to reimagine TX as basically flat. (No more hills.) :) Also... for me anyway (urban world) travels are lots of stop-and-goes...Ya want to avoid using brakes... (wasted power/motion) by anticipating stops etc by coasting where slower speeds and stops ahead, but w/an assist? All restarts now "less of a problem". ;) Simplest install is with hubs... probably lower maintenance as well. So w/hubs, choices are w/internal gears or with "large"/flatish/"pancake" "direct drive" motors.

Also liking front wheel drive as about zero chances for "wheelies" that can get out of hand.

BTW? I've already moved to recumbent... and a trike. At higher speeds and with stronger headwinds, aerodynamics become significant. I'm def. thinking about fairings... Taken to extreme... think "velomobile". :)

I only have experience with hubs... Expect there are "pros and cons"... but def. the easiest to install. ;)

12-16kg is near double weight of the REAL lightest ebike in the W O R L D :p
