Hello guys

I would like to make a 13s4p battery with two differents types of 18650 and I don´t know how to pack them to have similar discharge current or avoit any problem. Can anyone give some advice please?

I have :
Samsung 22P 2.200mAh x15 Units
ICR18650/26V 2.550mAh x40Units

My advice is don't do that.

Choose one model, buy new all recent, all from the same run at the factory.

If you can't afford that, wait save your pennies get another side job, whatever.

If you really **can't** then compromise, buy onr lot of matching used cells well tested

or worst case sell at least one lot and try to match the other.

I suppose two packs paralleled together is not so bad, so that's really the worst case.

icr18650 is 7.65 amp continuous, you could make a 13s3p 7.65ah, acir is 30

then parallel connect with a fuse to

Samsung 22p is 10 max amp continuous, 13s1p 2.15ah, initial internal impedence is 35

when paralleled together you get 9.8ah. at 2c you get 17.6amps wich means your controller should only be 20 amps max so you could power a a 250 or 500 watt geared hub

the problem is the resistance icr is 30 the 22p is 35

seeing how the 1p is a little higher resistance you should be ok if you try different fuses. id probably start with a 3amp fuse and if that blows I wouldn't go more than 5 amps. if you don't have a DMM or know how to use one then?

I just did the same thing, theres a thread for paralleling different batteries but you need to pay attention to voltages, im still learning so you might want to wait for someone else to comment before doing it.

Thank you for anwser!! I think I will pass mixin the two brands and make two differents batteries :bigthumb:
