Hi everyone. I would like to replace my stock 170mm crank arms on my BBSHD with shorter crank arms. 160mm should be short enough. Noticed that people are using Unicycle and BMX cranks. I am hoping to find a cheap solution since I am experimenting and might go back to the stock crank arms if I don't like the 160mm. Any help would be appreciated.

Unicycle cranks tend to come in 1/2" increments instead of the 5mm or 2.5mm increments of bicycle cranks. So 152mm (6") cranks will likely be much more plentiful and much cheaper than 160mm. I used 152mm cranks on my BBS02 to be better able to pedal along at the motor's most efficient RPM.

An additional benefit of very "square" unicycle cranks compared to the flared stock cranks of a Bafang mid drive is that they decrease Q factor (the side-to-side width between the pedals) which is excessive with the stock cranks.

Awesome! I thought that the BBSHD crank arms needed some offset. Lekkie Buzz 160mm bars look great but come at a premium. Unicycle 152mm cranks it is! Thanks again Chalo!
