Hey I know everyone likes to build their own ebikes buts I'm not handy and don't have the time. I would like to keep the price at about $3,000 Max. I will be doing some road and trail riding(nothing to extreme) I'm looking for something with some higher mph maybe 40mph+ and good range. I checked out the cyclone bikes they seem decent and was looking on alibaba.com but there are so many on that site and i have no idea which on to go with... any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I believe you can still find a Sur-ron in the 3k price range. The basic model was exactly 3000$ and 40 mph, when it was first offered in America. Good frame, lots of options to upgrade or customize.

Sur rons look too much like a motorcycle, I would go with a Levo or similar looking ebike, Luna Cycle has some nice looking ebikes.

X1
Luna Lone Wolf
Luna Wolf Alite Plus
Luna Lone White Wolf 680+

To the casual observer those ebikes look like they are normal bicycles with fatter tubes and a weird crank area. To the people in the know, they know its an ebike. Spotted a few today, Levo and the like.

Well. I build myself, but if I was going to start with a bike ready to ride, I’d want a good base that is worth upgrading later. I spend about 8000$ to build my own, and that is with a lot of used components. My main concern is the frame, for it is the real limit of how hard and fast that a bike can be ridden. I find a Sur-ron is cheap for the frame that it’s built on, and many are offering upgrade/customizing components that are ready to fit. That is making a good potential for a faster, better bike when you will want more.

So many ebikes on the market, are built on crap frames that are not even good rides at the stock performance that they are sold. Forget about upgrading those. It is a never ending task that is bound to fail. You buy it, you want better, it is a loss and you have to start again from scratch.

My buddy is trying to push me to get a delfast top 2.0.... Thats a $5,000 bike but wow is that thing impressive!!! it gets crazy range 150+ miles and over 50 mph. verrrrrry tempting. seems like a reasonable price for what you get.

I don’t like their frame, nor their suspension.
Same battery capacity as a basic Sur-ron. Same power, which is low for a hub build. About half the torque, for 50 lbs heavier...
Not even coming close.
