bicycle tour with mhp electric Paramotor!

Great for keeping the shrubs back along the bike trail. 8) I'd want a shroud on that, what if you crash and the props tip toward the rider.

Yea, you don't need a "3 foot please" notice on that! Cars who get too close will get minced! But what about when you go too close to the kerb and mince the pedestrians! Still, no geartrain or max efficiency motor speed problems there. Not really an idea to catch on, I hope

Hehe...funny guys...

@dnmun... yah, he's a paraglider... From vids, paragliders can run to take off, but also have 1- and 2-seater trikes... This is the first dual prop I have seen. Not a lot of details on the web so far.

Comments from another ePPG'er:

I see some advantages:
1) Twin means you can do opposite rotation... no torque reaction. Electric makes this easy. Previously, every contra-rotating paramotor I've seen (using internal combustion engines) either used 2 engines (heavy) or one engine with a complicated gearbox.
2) Electric motors are so light that you can put them a long way behind the pilot (so pilot's arms can't reach prop). If you tried this with internal combustion engines, it would be too "back-heavy".
3) Because the props are so far back, with no need for a strong guard to keep arms out, you only need a light-weight guard to protect lines from prop. This reduces weight.

At the moment, he is not using a guard, but he plans to.
Time will tell how practical this is.

He has a brief blog entry here:

I followed this link and and then a similar one on youtube for the Paramotor Electric which claims a 15 KW electric motor. I then attempted to go to the paramotor site which triggered some sort of black hat exploit popup notice with my anti virus protection.
