It looks good!

I love the torque arm you built!.. it seems pretty strong!

Hello GPants;

I am interested in your rear carrier frame.

It looks sturdy and as though it attaches to your seatpost.

Any chance for some closeups of the rack and details about it, like where you got it and the brand.

Cheers Greg

greasypants,
Interested in battery box in triangle area of frame. More pictures, details, please.

I put a rubber band on my pants so I don't get greasy pants. Got no chain guard. Pants do still get greasy.

The rack is an axiom journey - purchased at Caps , around 40-50 bucks

I had to buy an adapter to mount it to the seat post- already on the second one as the first one broke when the bike fell over

The rack is pretty stable , I used J shaped car battery bolts to secure the battery to the rack with a piece of plywood on top ,prevents any movement while riding

The bottom mounting bolts stripped the aluminium threads in the frame after about 100KM, had to drill out the holes and put a nut on the other side . should be more reliable but means I can't us the small sprocket which isn't a big deal because I never pedal.

Hey Marty , the battery box in the frame is made from plywood , the ends and sides are 1/4", the top and bottom are 1/2", sealed and painted black , one side is removable with weather stripping to seal out the rain. Left over pieces from my kitchen reno I'm in the process of doing . It fits tight in the frame and the controller is also a tight fit below it. I used plastic conduit u-brackets to bolt it to the frame and it is very solid . I worry about the battery overheating as there is no ventilation , may have to modify it as the temperature warms up .

Thanks for the close up and the details, nice looking rig.

Greg
