Story still not clear if he fell just riding and hit the car
or passed out and then fell and hit the car
or was ran off the road by car and then hit a parked car (likely given the street he was on)

Rest in Peace my Friend

Wow someone sent me a link to the story of the death but it didn't say he was the designer. Not good for garnering the respect were looking for. I didn't know him so I'm pretty insensitive. Excuse me

I live here in sf. Wonder what he looks like...might have seen him

It gets worse. He had a baby on the way

That's horrible.. Goes to show definitely need to be safe at all times. No point in saving a few minutes or taking 1-2 hours longer to get home.. At least for all us commuters who use our electric skateboards for commuting... I'm always in a rush but need to force myself to chill out sometimes..

Always expect that nobody notices you while riding... We ourselves are our first line of defense... In this case - better safe than sorry. Human vs car never wins...

Hope for the best for his family..

Other witnesses say he fell into a parked car which mean no vehicles were involved in causing the accident. We proably will never know the truth. Anyone who rides know one pebble can make you "collapse" to the ground. In the end it doesnt really matter

here is the first story

I still guess he was ran off the road by a car making a turn in the bike lane. I know that street well. Actually saw a different guy riding his boosted on it before a few times

"Medical authorities say it was 38-year-old George Schnakenberg III who was killed yesterday morning while riding his motorized skateboard through San Francisco.

Police say Schnakenberg, an Oakland resident, was cruising in the bike lane along the 600 block of Eighth Street at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday when he crashed into a parked car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene."

wow...sad news.. at least he would of been enjoying himself when it happened....

like i say:

life's too short to push!

He built an ebike a couple of years ago with a beautiful battery housing. He was very talented.

Thanks for posting video Ambrose - an amazing craftsman! What a loss to the community, sad.....

Found this picture of him. Seems appropriate. God speed.
