Very interesting though long read. Several long web pages involved.
Mr. Templeton considers the future of the car. Much of it revolves around the electric car.
Ultimately it involves automation of driving itself, and the ways it will alter what personal
transportation is about. Mr. Templeton recognizes that good EV's are about the most
efficient transport possible. He noticed that light rail and other oft promoted mass transit
methods are nowhere near the efficiency of good EV's on existing highway infrastructure.
Particularly interesting is what he calls "Whistlecars". Like the Lone Ranger can whistle at
any time and have his horse Silver appear, dispersed electric cars could be always ready
at the summons of a cell phone or other device to appear in moments and whisk you away.
Anyway, much to chew on here, but folks on this EV forum should find it interesting to ponder.
