Can I replace bbso2 speed sensor cord?

I'm pretty new, so I'm trying to figure out if this works. My bbso2's speed sensor cord is torn, so no more riding for now. However, the controller has an orange 3 pin connector(just like the brake sensor connectors). Would it be possible to connect a cord from the orange connector to the speed sensor and have it work?

I don't think so. The extra connector is probably for the shift sensor.
Best bet is to repair the damaged cable. You can splice it back together if you have enough length. Solder and heat-shrink tubing is the best but crimping would work with the right crimp connectors.
