 Nice, thanks for sharing Doc.
I hope they are just a accurate as the original.

But this is the one without USB, right?
Not a big price diff to Hobby king, and if you are ordering their batteries, there is probably some weight left over for the Cellog8M, which makes them shipping "free".

Yes.. but when HK is soldout for these celllog, this is still a good option

I wouldn't get to exceted about those things. I bought 4 of them a while back and they are NOT as good as a CellLog8. First off the so call external alarm (on an 8 cell lifepo4 pack) was hardly loader then the internal alarm on my CellLog8s.

Save your money and get the real thing "CellLog8".

The purpose of the alarm box is probably that you can mount it anywhere. If the CellLog is put with the batteries in a tight box, maybe you can't hear it. But if you put the external alarm on the handle bar, you can hear the alarm and see the LED light up.

Yes, your correct you could mount the alarm anywhere but it's only got a 1 foot 3 wire cable. So unless you extend the cable and mount it to your ear lobe your still not going to hear it. BTW, I don't remember any LED on the alarm box. Beside, most people don't watch for a little LED to come on while riding. Trust me when I say the CellLog8 is far better. And you can always install your own external alarm on he CellLog8. I build my CellLog8 external alarms right into the top of my packs. When that thing goes off that can hear it on the next block. The bigges advantage to the "look alike" unit is they are (were) available when everyone was sold out of the CellLog8s. Of course they are a little cheeper and the "so called" external alarm is included. But the that's really not of much value.

I posted about these a few months back and did a little review against the cell log. I prefer the cell log but they're not TOOO bad

I don't know if you got a faulty one but mine were MUCH louder than the cell logs internal alarm, and the internal alarm in this unit.

Of course that's always possible that I got a defect. I bought 4 of them and after trying the first one I throught the rest on a shelf and ordered 4 more CellLog8s. I guess I could take another one out and test it to see if it's any different.
