I think I found a solution to charge my boosted board where no power outlet is available.

Goal Zero Sherpa 100 with Sherpa Inverter.

Theoretically, this should provide a single full charge to the board.

Thoughts?

Yeah assuming 100% efficiency on everything, it would get you to about 95 percent charge. However there are losses in both the inverter step up process and the step down in the charger. This would probably get you to 60 or 70 percent at best, maybe even lower.

If you're wanting to gain another full charge worth of range by carrying something in your backpack, your best bet is to carry another boosted board battery connected in parallel with the existing one.

Same total range, however you'll enjoy better performance, less stress on cells and longer overall lifespan while you do it. It'll weigh less, probably be much cheaper and you wont need to stop to charge.

Everyone seems to think carrying some sort of 'booster' pack or extra battery is a great idea, but there are ONLY downsides compared to just having a bigger pack in the first place...

i'd look elsewhere - you might be better off w/ an add-on battery pack (voiding your warranty on boosted). Couple folks here have done it.

I also just saw the their v2 is coming out and will have swappable batteries w/ extra range options. About time!
