Got the kit from BMS and I am beginning the assembly for testing.

I need your help with figuring out connections coming out of the controller S06P. (Most of them were easy, because colors of wires on male AND female connectors are the same) But couple of female connectors have no visible wires and I do not want to cut the sheath to experiment)

1. There are 2 male small plugs with 3 wires:
Black plug has brown, yellow, black wires.
White plug has red, white, black wires.
Which plug is for speed sensor and which one is for pedal PAS sensor?
2.What is the purpose of the small black male plug with 2 wires, black and blue?
3. Also any wisdom on mounting the "hidden wire sensor 2" from King Meter with a red LED?
4. Finally the motor. I have ordered Q75 on a 20 inch wheel in 201 rpm. Had to wait extra month as BMS did not have 201 in stock. Motor has no marking indicating much except sticker 26 inch (presumably lower speed, hence 201) and on a side a plastic cap has small letters CHZ 600 I(T?)RS.
Total weight of the front wheel assembly is just under 2 kg.
Thank you for explanation.

Does this help at all? I found it somewhere on the BMSbattery.com site.

I have the S09P Controller with the Q128 motor and am also about to hook up and test. I have two questions myself:

1. What is the speed sensor connection for and where does it connect? Or can I just leave it alone?

2. I do not plan to have a display attached nor use the PAS capability. Any problem with this?

The wiring diagram is available for download at the bottom of the S06S listing on the BMSB website.

1. There's a three wire speed sensor, like a cycle computer one, that connects there. It's necessary if you don't want your speed to show as zero when you're freewheeling. If you forgot to order the speed sensor, you can cut one off a cheap or old cycle computer and connect the two wires to the red 5v and the signal wire on the speed sensor connector. If it doesn't work, try the black and signal.

2. Are you nuts? The PAS is the best feature of this controller. You cannot use the controller without the LCD. You need it to set various parameters. Also, without it, you get limited power and/or speed.

I've not heard of anybody else using that controller for a Q128, but be aware that Q-series motors generally don't run very well sensorless, so if yours runs rough or noisy, don't waste any more time with it.

The wiring for motor, battery, LCD, speed sensor and PAS is the same.
But
a. brake wires
b. throttle wires
are a bit different, but I managed to figure it out based on plugs shapes.
a. brake wires consist of dongle of two connectors, one for HBS (3 wires, black, yellow, red) and one for brake lever switch, (2 wires, yellow, black)
b. throttle has green wire instead of blue

MYSTERY needs to be solved for a
the purpose of the small black male plug with 2 wires, black and blue?

You do understand that a Q75 201 in a 20 inch wheel on 36 V will have a top speed of 13 mph?

"You do understand" Yup.
This is a tiny self modified folder (extended seat and fork post tubes) with a very short wheelbase. Do not want to see my maker anytime soon. Total weight of a rider+bike <75 kg.
An additional inquiry, any advice/photos/video on how to mount BMS 10 pole PAS?

The HWBS only goes one way round. Mount yhem at the brake endof the cable. If the red LED stays on, but goes off when you operate the brake, you have it the wrong wsy round. They normally have red 5v, blue signal and yellow ground. It should plug straight in to the piggy-backed connector, but check the sequence of wires.

The black and blue wires are the cruise control. If it has a little jumper connected, remove the jumper to disable it.

For the PAS, turn your bike upside down and tke a photo of the bottom bracket area so that we can see how much gap there is between the cranks and the BB and what type of BB you have. Then we can advise you, but it's impossible when we don't know what you have.

Thanks! I hope that have cruise control on my S-LCD1 through existing connector but I noticed that it has sticker "no BS" sensor.
God forbid it has to do something with battery monitoring...
Googled the PAS installation, and it seems pretty straightforward. I might do custom installation of the pickup sensor, get rid of the ring and mount is different way.

I've no idea wat a BS sensor is, but the label might be to differentiate it from the S06S, which has the hall sensor connector.
