Custom Lifepo4 Battery Pack and Plug in Charger

Does anybody have experience with custom lifepo4 battery pack and bms, similar to the Boosted board? I would like to do this for my electric skateboard, but I have no idea where to start.

I thought the use Li Ion? However need something similar after I blew up one of my 3s Lipos on my 2nd ride
