Cycle analyst REPAIR

I had a bad luck today when i reconnected the plug of my cycle analyst...i think i had some trouble to reconnect it in the darkness of my garage before a ride after i turned off the light... and i think the connector may had shifted of one pin to the left and the all the pins was shifted...

then... no display reading.. only a low backlight intensity..... no more.. and the intensity seems to vary randomly...

I think it should have an internal voltage regulator inside that may have blow.. maybe the 15V crossed directly to the 5V that suply the IC.. i dont know...

I saw the component that seems to be the voltage regulator BUT it's a Hexfet mosfet (IRLR110) of 100V....

Does someone can help me???

Sorry to hear the bad news doc, I'd say ask justin at ebikes but, most likely he will make you send it in for repairs;

What is the reading on the voltage regulator with multimeter? nothing burnt up?

I canot help with the electronics part. but a quick suggestion in case you have not yet done this.. check the pins for one that might be bent inside the conector...

I hate it when that happens and i spend hours trying to find a complicated problem lol..

Je crois que la régulation de la puissance faites sur le CA est assez particulière... Il me semble qu'il s'agit d'une régulation série. (d'ou le mosfet)
Le retroéclairage est, je crois,en série avec l'alimentation.
Sinon si la tension batterie à été injecté sur une broche d'E/S, ça craint pour le uC

Ouais, Je crois que ça a du être quelque chose de semblable! car j'ai aucun affichage et le retro scintille de facon irrégulière..

Le mosfet ne semble pas sauté.. en fait j'aimerais conaitre les pins d'alimentations du pic directement car je pourrais essayer d'injecter de la tension dessus pour voir si l'afficheage fonctionne...

Ca crain!!!

Dire que j'en ai deux qui ont le même problème ici!!!

Je vais contacter Justin je crois et voir si il voudrais m'envoyer que les board...
