Is there some experinence in this regard? What is the estimated/expected Max Drop deepness;)

Did already some minor Jumps with my bike (50cm) but i am unsure how far i can go.

Background: My Intention is to owne these idiots in Germany with this so called Bosch Haibike Crap who think that they are early innovators with their expensive and Non relieable Haibikes.

Every answer is appreached.

Thank you!

A DD hub can take a lot of beating, it is the wheel that will suffer first, and the most.
Choice of rim, tire, building quality, suspension setting, weight distribution, riding style...
All important factors to make a hub build "jumpable."

Beating a hub motor jumping repeatedly, you might need to replace the bearings once a year. The worst that could happen is cracking a cover, maybe axle damage if your torque plates are not tight, wide and perfectly straight.

Crashing is another story. I never broke a hub motor in a crash. The rider is usually the first to suffer damage, then some bike components like handlebar, saddle, crank, derailer and brake calipers. Everything mounted atop of the handlebar is unlikely to survive a crash, I replaced an awful lot of throttles in the last few years.

Ok thank you! Just simply no drop "into flat" ground as usual if you care about your bike.

If I hear this it gets more and more clear to me how dramatic "underrated" NC Hubmotors are in Germany. A lot of folks buy unrelieable expensive Bosch crap, do 3cm jumps and feel like E-Freerider.

YouTube answer for them is in progress....

Why do you call BOSH crap.
IT is not in terms of quality for sure,
BOSH is well engineered drive build from real materials , not China pot metal, crappy steel.
It is used in so many ebike brands, are these brands all wrong in using BOSH??
I can assure you they know what they are doing.
You try to compare DD hub with BottomBracket drive?

I am Not sure how the market looks in the US but If you consider the German Market and all experiences for MY 12 there are lots of issues especially for the following usages:

Bad waether conditions (rain, snow)
S-Pedelec (more then 25km/h)
System Weight more then 100kg

In a Nutshell everything that would be essential to me.

If you consider the pricing for the Bosch System Plus the fact that there are "Open source" battery Systems availabe for DD now (Like Sony V3)

->Bosch buyer have top much money and buy crap for it.
