Hi, was wondering if anybody has published a beginners book that can educate me, to trouble shoot my electric bike in the event of problem. I don't have a problem at this moment but looking at the amount of wires coming out of my controller I think I should learn how the whole system works.

The technology changes so fast that any general manual that got published would be outdated by the time the publisher delivered it.

Instead, we have this forum, and the Wiki http://www.endless-sphere.com/w/index.php/Main_Page..
There is a search function on both, and just about anything you can think of has been covered before.
And if you still don't understand, or you aren't even sure what questions to ask, then try posting to the forum for help.

Justin and his guys have put together a short PDF booklet with the basics. You can downoad it from ebikes.ca or here. That should get you started.

Not sure which controller you have, but a quick search of ES turned up this thread about Lyen controllers, which may be helpful....
EDIT - okay - not as useful as expected - all the connection illustrations are the same thing from different angles...

This is an actual paper book:

You can probably get it through inter-library loan and not have to spend a dime.

Much of it is cribbed from this very forum . . .

There are a few e-bike service manuals available for download from the web. Depending on what make/model you have you should be able to find one that is similar / covers most parts of your e-bike and has a troubleshooting section.

Here are a few links

http://www.emotoev.com/service/bike.html the troubleshooting guide is section 6.6.
