Who needs 3d printing?
Elegant? No, pretty, no.
Practical, yes!
It was my first go and I could do neater next time. Solid rubber casing, so any drops should be ok....
Dismantled, cut long extra bit off of trigger, joined to the configuration I wanted, then wrapped in electrical tape
Got some clear tubing and put short lengths over the two LEDs and the bind button.
Mix by volume equal quantities silicone sealer (the type you use on baths and showers, but it MUST be the cheap type that smells of vinegar. I used coloured black stuff) with cornflour, or corn starch or whatever it's called in your part of the world.
You have to mix hard and fast, as it starts to harden fairly quick. It will be like a sticky clay, then like normal clay, then hard over about 5-10 mins. Is is where I went wrong. I would recommend you get used to how it handles before you go for it
The finished article. I found that toward the end, to get a smooth finish, I coated my hands in olive oil and smoothed them over it. I then trimmed the clear pipe flush. I may put a bead of clear silicone in the led pipe if I get round to it
If I did it again, I would work faster and make it a little less bulky.
It is very robust if I drop it, it bounces! Apparently, if I change my mind, I can cut it open and it'll peel off again
I am sure that a neater job can be achieved with speed and care, but I don't have time to redo right now. I kind of like it.
If 'the thing' from fantastic four rode e boards....
