Was thinking about adding my own onboard charging port to my Neo Cross by simply adding a panel-mount connector of the right type. Does anyone know anything about the type of connector the charger uses? There's the circular 3-pin connector that is then adapted with a dongle to fit the battery connector. If you remove the adaptor dongle, the circular connector looks like something I could source if I only knew what it was. Any ideas?

Also, anyone know who makes the adapter dongle? It's got what looks like a seahorse logo but nothing else. Might give me a clue as to the connector type if I could track down who made the adapter.

Hi,

You can buy an original charger here:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Modiary-Charger-42V-2A-with-Singatron-plug-and-UL-GS-FCC-CE-SAA-PSE-Approved-Modiary/32372327344.html

The plug is made by Singatron.

Here is the one that connects in to the back of the battery:

You can probably find all the plugs here:

I have toying with the idea of buying a 36V/48V battery (not made by BH) for my Neo Cross and wiring one of those seahorse batter connectors to it so that it would fit the end coming out of the bike. Have any of you done this successfully of have any advice.

A lot of people seem to be using booster packs with 12V batteries. I was thinking I would rather just have a large 48V battery to use without the original battery in place (in my pannier bag or something. That way I could use the 48V battery's added speed until it ran out, then use the original battery as a reserve (thinking about some long trips). I just don't know what connector to use on a new battery so it would fit the bike.

I would also be open to using a 36V battery so that the display would work correctly etc. I was thinking this one:

Seems like 30ah for $500 is a pretty good deal at 9lbs. And I could potentially use my same charger if i get the connector right.
