Here's an interesting setup that should meet some of Safe's criteria, i.e. Long wheelbase, small motor, multiple gears.

Expensive kits, but might appeal to some. My brother David's riding bud, Bob, that has an EasyRacer Gold Rush LWB Recumbent is pretty excited about it.

They said "lithium prices are dropping" I hope this reflects back to us when we shop for them.

One of the motors is made by "BMC" and the others by "Powerpac."

That titanium recumbent with slip couplers, is quite the bike.
