wasps like my garage door jam. Raid smells bad and i'm almost out. Hmmmm what to do? Open door of microwave and aim at wasps? Nahhh.
So i boiled some water, put it in an ex- jelly jar, put it up to nest, giving them a sauna bath.
.
Previously i used a rubber mallet to wack them, but i was wondering what they might do if i missed.
.
Post your methods!

Empty (small mouthed) pop bottles, with a few inches of sugar water in the bottom. They'll find it and crawl right in. For some reason most drown rather than crawl/fly back out.
Enjoy.

An afternoon with an air rifle and a quick-loader with 10,000 bbs in it.

Make your own or buy one. These work very well.

thanks! looks like they refined Lock's method.
Sometimes they buzz around here and i cant find the nest.

If you have cold mornings, get up early to do battle. They're almost helpless when they're cold enough, can't even fly. Put on some gloves, knock them and the nest into a paper bag, and squish 'em.

Mehhhh... seems like extra work to me. Only "trouble" I have had is emptying out the bodies every few daze... `Round camp sites etc I usually deploy `em down wind on the theory that like mosquitos (that sense yer CO2 exhaust) they come at you from that direction...
tks
