Electric Longboard Help

So I am thinking of building an electric long-board, but I want to customize the motors, battery, and ESC(electric speed controller) to have a specific speed and overall distance in one battery life, so I was wondering exactly how to customize the motors, ESC, and Battery so they are perfectly compatible. The project I am basing this off of is in the link below.

Also, if anyone knew how to make it Bluetooth compatible so I can create an app so I can control it off of my phone, with my phone connecting to an Arduino.

Hi Ninjatech

There are a load of build threads here so read a few of them before you buy anything. Honestly it will save you a packet.
If you have any specific questions after that I am sure you will get all the help you need.

Just one thing to your Bluetooth request. Firstly, Bluetooth is not the best connection. It is easily interfered with and you may experience drop-outs. Sods law says this will happen in the worst possible time.
Secondly, I think we have all fallen off our boards at some stage - do you really want to be holding your expensive phone in your hand when this happens? There are a few options for small controllers that IMHO are a far better idea.
