Has anyone ever thought of building an electric lazy boy recliner. A leather recliner on a go cart frame. A lot of fabrication would be needed but what a you tube video it would make. electric wheel chairs have special controllers to steer them as I know a quadriplegic who has one. As long as there is a way to steer it and it has good brakes I don't know why one couldn't be built . As a matter of fact has anybody else ever thought of it. I am going to Google and you tube to find out. Keep me posted.

I've been wanting to make an electric couch. At the balloon fiesta, the pissers are about half a mile away. Me, and two girls going to pee all day. Yeah!

We did this a couple of times here at the shop. All you need to do is get a broken down powerchair and replace the seat with your recliner. It is easy and cheap to get a power wheelchair with dead batteries.

solar panel into a charge controller to a wet cell 12v battery on to 120 volt inverter ( to run my margarita maker) and my vfd controller out to my 1/2 hp 3 phase motor
after the parade , party time, all thanks to the sun

Um.......I've had one for 6 years. It is made in the US by Pride company out of Mississippi. I got it when I broke 6 ribs in a bike accident. The company still sells parts at reasonable prices, so I expect my recliner to outlast me. Not cheep. I think I got it on sale for $900. At least I could take it as a medical tax deduction.
