Electric scooter throttle

Hi!

I want to limit the top speed on my SXT scooter and wonder if anyone know how?
It is magnetic action and works in three steps. I want in one mode, use only the two first so to speak.

first check if it's truly 3 stage or variable (resistor or hall).

if it's hall or resistive you will find a 0-5v signal depending on the trottle position on 1 wire. (measure black as ground and check each wire)

just put a variable resistor (pot) between the output of the trottle and set the pot as needed.

I hope its the highest value. The lowest will be harder to "cut out".
