I live in the US and here you can qualify for a tax credit of 10% of the cost of a two wheeled electric vehicle if the battery capacity is over 2.5 kwh. Can anyone here calculate a lipo with a rating of 48v20ah into KWH's?

wh is nothing but (ah) times (nominal voltage)
so for example 48v*20ah=960wh
1000wh=1kwh
so .96kwh

2.5 kwh is so heavy on a bike, it pretty much excludes most ebikes. Even when I set mine up for a long ride, I only carry 1.5 kwh.

Most motorcycle conversions would want to carry about that much. Who hoo, 10% off having to have a battery 300% the cost.

One of my fantasies is a rebate good for the price of a ping 36v 20 ah, for ebikes. You buy the new motor, get a battery free. Just getting a decent commuter down to about $500 cost would be great for the poor. It would be a one time in your life deal.
