I am thinking about buying a used EV Warrior because it seems superior to a Walmart Ezip.

Does anyone own an EV Warrior and can you tell me what its true maximum speed and range are using just the batteries?

It seems like a good bike.

And what would be suitable replacement motors that would be twice as powerful as the stock motors and still fit in the shield box?

Thanks.

I've never owned an EV Warrior but I have used a few parts for my friction drive. Throttle at one time, and the roller. I also have a couple of ev warrior forks sitting here and they look like they're made well.

I can tell you that outrunner motors with an 8mm shaft fit directly into the ev warrior roller like they were made for it. I'm sure with a little modding (custom motor mounts) you could easily fit one or even two motors in place of the originals. With some lightweight modern batteries you could have an awesome bike for little $$$.

Thanks for your advice. I am going to buy it. Will look into the motors you suggested.

The EV Warrior is no longer made, they can still be found out there but are out of the biz as far as i know.

If you spot one for a good price, worth checking into imo.. aparently they can be modded to kick butt.. *( Well.. some guys on this forum could mod a hampster wheel to do 40mph but you get the idea )

they work very well on dry pavement. drive roller does slip a bit in the wet. parts are plentiful if you know where to look. my oldest one, i've owned for more than 10 years. i still like it.

true speed is between 20 and 25mph. range without pedaling varies between 10 and 15 miles depending on your weight and terain
