Meyer was running a scam, he sold rights to dealerships for his 'water fuel cell' to gullible people. He was eventually sued for fraud and his invention was revealed to be just a normal electrolysis cell and nothing more.

One thing that has always concerned me about all this stuff. If they do get it to work, what happens to our water supply? We are already having major problems with our neighboring states as far as water supply, but currently when we use water, it is still water at the end of the day. What happens when we start breaking down water to its elements and use all that up? Sure if we use up all the oil we have to figure out a new way to drive our big vehicles around, but if we use up all our water we have to find a new way to stay alive.

I dont think that will ever be a problem. Nature tends to balance itself out. As far as H and O and H2O I would think that applies. More than half of the water in our city gets used to water grass anyway, now thats a waste. I never understood why people like lawns, they don't even use them for anything. "Don't lay on the grass, theres bugs/pestaside/fertilizer/etc." Thats what I hear when I lay on the grass at other people's houses, wtf. Mine's mostly dirt..
