What is the max amps for Hailong style power connector, in your case? In some places at AliExpress they're rated (surprisingly?) low like 7A or so for one pin but I think some people use much higher currents than 7x2 (on 4 pin battery).
Female pins look thinner, they could be limiting the max current but I use similar 4 pin connector for my 30A max. BBSHD bike.
