what's its purpose ?
i have one but am unsure of a use .
does a transformer make for cleaner electricity ?

removes dc from ac?
so if i,m living off grid and run a genset and plug in this transformer in could i now run my computer and lcd tv without a sine wave inverter.
how can ac and dc exist together(before transformer)?
