Questions: How does the torque and rpm input data translate for assistance on a Keyde P series? Basically, how does it ride? It seems like it could assume a gear from the speed and not give too much torque in a low gear, but maybe it isn't that sophisticated? I'm wondering if the effect is torque multiplicative, or just sensing whether you are pedaling or not. Whether there is overrun when stopping pedaling, etc. I wonder if the behavior is tunable, but I can't gain access to the settings menu in the app without a hub to connect.
Background: Looking at a Keyde P100 as a solution for a kids bike so she can keep up better in the woods. She had borrowed e-bikes and the result is we both get more exercise and have more fun riding together, but the heavy ebike makes for more crashing during dismounts and more injury during crashes. The available ebikes that are good for a kid sized person and offroad capable are either $$$$ or way too heavy with way more power than needed.
