Hello people,
I bought this motor in the pictures in a garage sale, the guy said it is a qs165 35h, and that it has an encoder, i tried looking on the internet to find it's specs, but there are so many...

What version is it?
Internet articles talk about a 5000w continuous rating, but peak differ from 10kw to 22kw, and i have no idea which is true for this particular model.
What would be the best controller for using this motor in a Citroen ami microcar?

Is there anything to convert encoder to hall or can this used with vesc controllers?

Thanks for the help!

Yea its a Qs165-35h. Manufacturer rates them at 5kw. People have pushed them to 20ishkw. It will get very hot very fast at that power level. I doubt you could do more than 5kw continuously, as thats why they are rated how they are.

Idk about the encoder, but multiple people sell plug and play encoders for this motor that work with vesc so id imagine the original one doesnt. Like this https://ebay.us/m/h7cvHK

The motor was originally designed as a drop in replacement for a surron, so idk how well it will do it a car, even a small one. I have the same motor on a razor sx500 and its pretty fun.
