This may have been posted, and if so. Sorry.

But I stumbled upon it while looking up golf cart reviews. I live in a community with dedicated paved paths for golf carts, bikes, runners, etc., and skateboards are allowed (along with e-bikes and e-skates). No cars allowed, and golf carts are limited to 19mph.

This is way overpriced, in my opinion, and I don't think it will have a tremendous amount of success at that price point in the golf community, but regardless of that it sure looks fun.

It might also be easy and cost-effective to imitate for personal use.

What do you think? Note: The main page has videos.

Rode one. They are pretty fun, actually.
ES member Mikebikerad developed these boards. The start-up is marketing these to golf courses & country clubs as rentals.

Mike's in Seattle, now working on Electric-powered surf boards...

Someone have me committed if I ever spend over 5 grand on a glorified low speed electric skateboard with or without the big wheels.

They look fun, but the price tag is pretty high.

I'm not in marketing, and I am frequently dead wrong when I predict the success or failure of a product. When Batteries Plus first opened in Athens, Georgia, I said it would fail miserably in no time. Well, that was a bad call.

I also said rap and hip hop would be a passing trend. Got that one wrong as well.

I claimed that sagging wouldn't last long. Twenty plus years later people are still letting their pants sag unbelievably low.

Therefore, everyone should probably invest in these golfboards, because I predict they won't sell well. For a grand? Yes, but for five grand? I just don't see a lot of old men wanting to use them when the golf cart is far more comfortable, holds a lot more beer and food, keeps the sun off your head, and won't cause you to face plant on the approach to the green.

Uh, where do they carry the beer? I don't even see a cup holder.

Maybe it's because of where I live, people move here to golf till they die. Many can barely walk without help, let alone "surf" the course. The golf crowd here is all 70 or older.

On the other hand, an entire generation of snowboarders is age ing out of that sport. Golf is the sport all turn to when they can't do anything else with their Copd, Stents, ruined knees, etc.

Ebikes are only still on the rise because those who cycled in their youth need help now.
