Hobby King order status

I've paid through paypal on Friday, yet my status still says unpaid. Is this normal?

And why do they not answer their US customer service phone? I've tried 6 times today, this afternoon and this evening.

I emailed them last night, still waiting for a reply.

There must of been something with Paypal, holding up the payment.

Even though I selected "paylater", paypal still emptied my cash balance and took the remainder from my checking account. Yeah, that was a joke.

The transaction is now finally showing up on my checking account, 10/12, so I suppose that's why HK status was saying "awaiting payment".

I hope this goes through by tomorrow.

It could be worse, I just added up what I have spent at HK in the last 4 months. Shouldna done that. Hopefully done for awhile after todays order. When this last two orders arrive, I'll have 4 chargers and 72v 20 ah in the house.

Shipping is taking a bit longer, but it gets here eventually. By the time you cross the $1000 line you'll be used to the wait.

It's been 8 days since I paid. And on the 12th, my checking account shows a completed payment to paypal for the remainder.

Their customer service guy, Joey - has not replied to me since Wednesday.



As far as I can tell - Hobby King has stolen $419 from me.


Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm about to open a resolution with Paypal.

HobbyCity is about as legit as any overseas business. They get delayed on processing orders, but they are never going to just steal your money or something. I've had my order status say it was "waiting for stock" until after the package arrived on my door step more than once. lol

Is this the first time ordering from an overseas company? welcome to Chinese customer service. Take a number. Hope you've got a tent

Seriously unlikely you got ripped. I just had a package arrive when it was tracking left china the same day. It's always screwy, but just when you think you are sol, the doorbell rings and there is your stuff. Paying different clearly delayed your order, but I'm sure you will get it. But at times, stuff has had to take awhile for various reasons.

Yeah, i've ordered from them numerous times. A few months ago, I ordered the turnigy wattmeter and total, it ended up taking nearly four weeks for it to arrive. Apparently, it was on backorder but when I ordered, it said there was a dozen or so in stock. They take a while sometimes, but they'll get your items to you eventually.

I received two orders earlier this year from them, in a timely manner ( <2 weeks). But I guess the Paypal "paylater" option is causing a problem.

Yeah, Paylater - and get your order later too....... :?
