Out for a Sunday evening joy ride on my 9C 6x10 18s 1p Ecrazyman 72 volt 45 amp controller I roll past a young couple on roller blades that are hob knobbing with two cars full of more kids while waiting for a stoplight. Looks like a fun night out for them. While waiting for the green I feel someone grab the rear rack and here is a roller blader with a grip on the rack, like he is ready to go. This thing has about three thousand watts of power, I greet him with. I doubt it, he says. It will get rolling about 25 I tell him. I don`t think so he says. Hang on I tell him and turn around to wait for the green. It is a narrow bike lane with a left turn lane on one side and more cars on the other. So a slow half throttle start just to get moving a bit I felt the load shift a time or two then it was smooth going and time for throttle up, but the damn thing would hardly go so I glance back and my hooky bobber has another hooky bobber behind him a young lady. So no wonder this is acting sluggish. So Hang on here we go. This is on one of the few good patches of asphalt road in this town. It took a while but the bike topped out at 23 and we held that for a 100 feet or so till it was time to slow for a stop sign, those things grow like weeds around here, I called out slowing down and slowly let off the throttle and I cold hear their toe brakes dragging. We gently rolled to a stop happy to have done it and glad no one was hurt doing this.
That was as far as I was willing to pull them, as they had no pads or hats and I did not want to feel bad if the young lady were to get all scratched up.

So have you been hooky bobbed yet?

Sounds like fun, but,,,

Though a 6x10 9c on that much power can easily get them going, It's best you didn't try to do that all night. Put that much load, and feed it that much power, and it will melt if your battery lasts very long. Two at a time is asking a lot from a 9c, over 500 pounds. Like putting one on a rickshaw. Really hard to stall a 6x10, but three people should do it enough to get plenty hot. Once at speed, without the damn stops, It could likely do it on the flat a long time. But those starts will make a lot of heat if the stops are many.

That sounds like a fun adventure.

Pulled my buddies ebike with him on it ( total weight 400pounds), around 25 km.....used both our backpack packs up on my bike (ht3525) , , noticed his batteries were stressing due to pulling the hard amps for so long........no puffies though.....the reason he broke down was due to a shoddy repair job inside his cycle analyst where the throttle wire shorted to 100vdc....the throttle hall did not survive and we were in the bush far from home so ......

I always pull my buddies on thier pedel bikes (feel sorry for them, dont want to wait for them). its gets crazy at 50kmh, they hold onto my backpack strap.....and we rip.....its quite a sight i imagine, although mostly do it at night with no lights,,,,,,

so yeah had many hookys on me , i enjoy it actually, I have probably logged 100km or more with a crazy one handed cyclist in tow. Another story id like to tell is when we were doing this one night, came off a curb and i was getting towed by my buddy and , well , with only one hand on the bars, a curb is a bit tricky to take at 30kmh, and i went down, and i actually dragged my buddy down with me, cause i didnt let go :D :D .....we both crashed big time luckily it was 3am
