How should I measure for replacement hub motor bearings?

Hi ESFMs,

One of my motors has a damaged bearing and I'm only just now getting around to shopping for a replacement.

I'm not sure I'm measuring my current bearings correctly. I've measured an inner diameter of 15 mm and an outer of 35 mm. However, when I look for bearings of that dimension, I can't find anything that matches. The closest I've come across is 16 mm inner with like 26 mm (+/- mm).

Is there a special way to measure bearings? I've just been measuring the very inner diameter and the very outer diameter.

Most bearings have a 4 digit reference # on the outside race.
Or just take it to a bearing, belt and chain store and let them match it up.
The Japanese and German marks are the best quality.

Alright, thanks guys. I doubled checked my measurements and sure enough, it is a 15x35x11. Just bought a pair from Amazon.

Thanks again.
