In power tool battery packs, right angle bends or turns are common to get to the BMS, is it possible to do this nickel strips, and if so how do I make them?

The strips that come with the battery pack cases when you buy the case have the right angle bends but they are nickel plated steel pieces of metal.

Do I need to buy a sheet of nickel and cut out the strip from the sheet to get the right angle bends in the strip?

Why not fold them from straight strip?

Thank you! This is what I figured. There is no issue in doing this?

I was also wondering if there's anything wrong with just bending a strip onto itself? So like for example for a parallel connection, instead of cutting two pieces and stacking them on top of each other can I just use one strip and fold it onto itself instead?

No problem, as long as you can get the welds you need. If your welder is set up to do a single nickel layer, you'd have to weld first and then fold.

Yes, with the same caveat as above.
