Hello world

I'm new to LiPo's and had read all over the web that is advisable not to charge the cells above 4,1V
My question is how to configure the Accucell 6 charger to stop at 4,1V and not the 4,2V LiPo default

The battery is a 6S 5000mha

Tks,
André

Did you read the manual?

Set it to 3.6v LiIo (lithium Ion) not 3.7v LiPo (lithium Polymer).. it will charge to 4.1v instead of 4.2. Also, make sure you select "balance charge" and not just "charge"

never charge unattended. charge in fire safe area.

I will set the configuration like this:

Lilo balance charge - 22v(6S) - 5000mah - 5A charge rate

The batterys are 4 x lipos 6s 5000mah
Later I will buy a paralell changing plug to charge all at the same time :)

I had read the user manual but this information wasn't there (charging at 4.1v maximum)

:)

Yeah set to lilo. I'm such a moron it took me a year and a half to realize how to do it though. I just thought I had a charger that would not do lilo.

If anybody knows a way to adjust the lipo settings voltage on that particular charger, let me know. 4.15 would be nice.

Maybe 4,15v could be done by configuring the max cutoff mah

example:

setting a lipo 6s 5000mah to cutoff the charge at 4800mah

Does this make any sense?

the difference between 4.15 and 4.20 might only be 50mah.. and it's impossible to really know the charge state of a battery from voltage.. it varies for lots of reasons... temp, age

the problem is the accucel is a 50w charger 50w/24.6= 2A which means 2hrs per 80% battery. Parallel might take all night.. and i DO NOT recommend charging lipos unwatched.

I like the eco6-200w from HK but if you really want to charge 20ah to 24.6 (4.1*6) at 1C that's 500w

4.1 and 4.2 are the only options but some versions of the accucell-6 let you calibrate. You could "trick" the charger by calibrating .05v over true voltage so it sees the battery at 4.2 when its actually 4.15/cell
google "accucell 6 calibration"

https://www.google.com/search?q=accucell+6+calibration

i think it was hold + and - when powering, but like IR and other options, it comes and goes with firmware revisions
