Cyclone 3000: $349

Reasons to consider the BBSHD instead of the cyclone?

Battery - build it myself, Samsung 30Q cells - How big though -14S 5P? 72 volt?
I got the book "DIY Lithium Batteries: How to Build Your Own Battery Packs" but I'm only halfway through it....have a couple drawings/calculations but not there yet

Charger: Cycle Satiator 72V 5A: http://www.ebikes.ca/cycle-satiator-72v-5a.html

this frame bag looks a little small but: https://shop.bikes.com/products/arm532000-pr-framebag-blizzard
maybe this bag's better, could fit a tube, tools, maybe a cheap charger in there: https://www.milltownsports.com/products/ranger-frame-bag?variant=5892053697&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIldPf9JyT2gIVUoR-Ch0UNwtIEAQYBSABEgLon_D_BwE

My first thread @ ES: I've been considering building an ebike
(still considering)

I have a fat bike with the BBSHD and 30T chain ring.

It can climb anything. The Cyclone has a lot more power, so you would be able to climb anything, only a lot faster.

I really do like the front suspension fork though. Something you could upgrade to later. The Thudbuster seat post works better than the original rear suspension, so having a hard tail is probably better.

One thing I don't like about the Cyclone is they are noisy.

still looking at bikes. Yours looks good, not sure what I'll end up with.

The cyclone does seem noisy, and I can't tell if it's only throttle controlled or pedal assist too:

What'd you use for your triangle bag or battery holder?
