First reports were that the explosion was caused by a mechanical failure but now apparently evidence of a bomb has been found. Either way it sucks but I hope it wasn't a mechanical failure. That would set back electric cars for years if it was the battery.

the batteries can't blow up, not sure why this is an EV issue at all. slow news day?

Yeah really, they've already discovered it was a bomb and the FBI is trying to investigate why somebody planted it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I also heard someone on the news say he wasn't an abortion doctor either, so it's not like one of those psycho groups did it either.
This is weird. I'm almost thinking someone quietly developed a grudge against him, for some reason.
