Rant!
Why do I Hate Rubbermaid Wavebrake Mop Bucket/Wringer? To make things clear. I only hate the wavebreak baffles. Yellow bucket and wringer is of good design.

1. Wavebrake baffles it harder to clean the mop bucket.
2. Makes for less room to swish the mop around.
3. Wave brake baffles do a poor job of preventing waves.
4. Can cause injury to babies and other small items if you use a mop bucket to clean them.
5. Removing the frocken wavebreak baffles would result in a serious leak in the bucket.
6. Were these baffles designed by lawyers to reduce slip and fall lawsuits? I hate lawyers too but that's another Rant.
7. My older Rubbermaid mop bucket does not have idiotic wave-brake baffles and I love it.
8. More reasons that I can't think of now.

Rubbermaid engineers - Ya still got the old plastic molds. Make new mop buckets with out the wave break nonsense and us mopers will love you.

Earthquake

Yes I do a lot of mopping. Sweep too.

"thingee where you stick it in the basket over the bucket and twist it" Picture please.

Baby Oil is made by squeezing babies till the oil comes out of them.

Now back to subject - Re: I Hate Rubbermaid Wavebrake Mop Bucket/Wringer

Pictures of my old mop bucket and a newer one with the stupid wavebreak baffles.

Lol baby oil.

Ok I'll bite- Wouldn't it fix the issue to continue using the old one? Or buy a replacement http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Joe-GJO60466-Wringer-Capacity/dp/B001PMJUKI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427376249&sr=8-1&keywords=mop+bucket

I do get the point that 'they don't make it like they used to'

And here's some mop porn

Oh, should be easy enough for you to picture. Instead of a square wringer/strainer that squeezes the mop, there's a round one without the, uh, 'Paddle,' you just stick the mop in and give it a twist while you push down.

Well, I gots ya' some mop mop blues if you insist, but there's a choice of a little more upbeat if you can manage it.

Tried singing while I mop. It's not working. I still hate them wave brake baffles. Any one with the name Muddy Waters should not be allowed to operate a mop bucket. On the subject of operators. Do people think it is funny to kill or injure another human with a excavator? or other heavy equipment? I have tried operating back hoes, excavators, tractors and stuff. Need more practice. I am pretty good at operating a mop.

Watch this video.

See man killed or injured at 1:47 Thought we had laws against murder? What would possess people to do such reckless stuff and film it? Careful with the excavators!

Yaahs has it's all backwards marty. If you's aint's from thems muddy water areas, you's just aint's gitting anuff practice atts it! Song is by Big Bill Broonzy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVOv_liwlIM Muddy does IMO a much better version. From the sound of things they did not posses the Cadillac issues of buckets and such. They were only dealing with a mopping broom.

This post really belongs in our 'janitor's rants' section...

Yea it's funny couple weeks ago I went to the "Restaurant Depot" with a friend to get some meat for a party.

Checking out the store http://www.restaurantdepot.com/ (which is quite awesome. Need a tax id to get an account)

I took a close look at the 3 different models of mop buckets looking for those baffles. All seemed to be well built
and none had those baffles.

Anyway thought Id share how this thread impacted my life. :p

Sorry that it took me 6 years to reply. Looked at the different mop buckets at Restaurant Depot. They were in cardboard boxes and I was not able to comprehend differences. Should have asked for help but I did not. When buying something plastic and as important as a mop bucket. I need to touch and feel.

Every few years I read about a dead janitor in the newspaper. Yes I am old and we still get a paper paper delivered every morning. https://buffalonews.com/ Getting a little sick of reading about this virus that's been in the news. Recently was a article about 1 in 100 old people dying. Old people dying? Is that news?

Read about a janitor working in a small closet. He mixes bleach and ammonia and dies. What do you get when you mix bleach and ammonia? I got the internet. Lets do some research. Chloramine gas. So yea don't mix bleach and ammonia.

Those people have won the darwin award, I bought ammonia once that was next to the bleach from the grocery store for cleaning not really knowing any difference it was to clean the kitchen tile and that was the end of keeping that product around with a slight headache then we went eco-green and were doing the home made vinegar cleaning solution with the walk in shower door closed spritzing the glass to hose it down after the shower was done and breathed in the vinegar particulates and just had to open the glass door I agree with you that you have to try it out before you buy many products are like that you need the tactile feel or get a feel for the sizing of the product. Online purchases you need to be very careful to know who exactly who you are buying from.

Rubbermaid makes some good quality products and it can get expensive

1% killed by an illness that didn't exist until a couple years ago? Yeah, that's news. If they're dying of lung cancer and congestive heart failure and driving their cars into things, then no it's not news.
