We're way past the quoted lead time and nobody will respond to my calls, texts, or emails. I also just got my email kicked back with a message from my provider saying their email server isn't responding because it's is full.

I'm hoping someone here has a line to them and can tell me what's going on. I have $2k riding on this, not to mention if I don't get this proprietary battery I'm pretty seriously boned all around because they're the only ones in the US who make a battery that fits my frame (qulbix 76), and I basically have all the parts except for the battery now. So yea, I'm getting super nervous as you can probably imagine.

Covid is making some people hard to reach. I mean, change of habits and jobs, summer at the countryside, spending the heatwave on the boat, or hospital who knows...

Then shipping is horrible lately, long and expansive. If I was in ebike business, I’d be gone too at this time of the year. Forgetting this crazy world at the sea.

Fill her up with RC lipo and ride. Lipo bricks are still shipping fast, surprisingly. Time will bring back normality, some day.

The only reason to have a goofy looking suitcase bike is so you can fill up the suitcase with whatever crappy batteries, dirty socks, etc. you happen to have around. If you have a real bike, you have to worry about getting a good fit. With yours, you can get creative with some egg cartons and a handful of Walmart car starter packs and go get arrested on your illegal motorcycle.

Probally booked. Slowing down new orders.

I got like 20 requests to built right now. No way I can cater to them all.. And Litespeed has an actual reputation. I bet he is booked.

Lol Lipo briks are weak and way to expensive. Sure it you are ok for paying.. 1$ / watt hour.. Lol.. I average about $0.15 cent when I buy for the builds I do.

Plus lipos.. Comply and get .. overworked way to easy. Hot, Ir raised, detriment begins.

Here is a log of a overpriced HK lipo pack vs an EV cell lipo pack. 1/2 the power, 3-4x the heat, 12 mph less top speed, same exact bike and controller/motor. Just swapping batteries. Sag City. Sagged from 80v to compliance at about 68v... For this 7.5kW ( that was al the lipo could hack... could put out) ( almost hit LVC at 66v). 12v plus sag, for this measly 7,599w load.

The EV cells do not even blink at this 10C+ load. Sagged about 5-7v for the 15kW on this log. 8kW KEB with a 350A phase peak.

Thats funny. Idk what makes it funny, ( or which is funnier) the image in my mind, or the fact that its true.

Its true to some extent, but not the arrested part.... added for dramatic affect no doubt, but it'd depend on the country.

But yea he's got a way with words, as some others on ES :es: do as well.
Probably comes naturally with little to no effort, so I can see how some can get offended by the bluntness and truness, but I dig it.

That is why its common sense to not ride a motorcycle looking bicycle, like the Sur Ron or Enduro/Suitcase style frames. Much less on the enduro side of things because a battery takes up most of the triangle to begin with so an Enduro cleans it all up and hides the wires. Be better to just have a battery case like a dolphin battery showing with daylight showing within the triangle on a Trek/Giant/RM/Sp bike but then you can't maximize the Wh within your triangle which is where the Enduro suitcase bikes come in which have their own problems because they are produced and made by some backyard, back alley hacks with little to no quality/longevity testing or quality control, geometry, suspension alignment usage. But their welds maybe perfect.
But use a dolphin case + Phaserunner then it all looks more like a store bought ebike which they can't be huffing and puffing over because its the new wave man. There are twice as many ebikes out there today as there was a year ago. And more and more private scooters (vs the rental scourge infesting the streets) So I am 50/50 on the Enduro suitcase frames, the biggest downfall is like I said: quality control so I'd rather get a Trek with a dolphin case with 18650 3Ah 8-15A then maximize triangle with no daylight showing and 2.5Ah 25A 18650-25R or VTC6 and a big ass Kelly/Sabvoton etc.

Come on folks it's Lite Speed Bikes LLC .... not Litespeed (or LITESPEED). The later is a long established and well respected manufacturer of Ti framed bikes and not some back room custom ebike battery manufacturer. Not making this distinction is just encouraging the scummy piggybacking on similarly named companies.

I like direct, dose of reality is a good thing to shock you into what you are really doing.

I have no problem with them. Only reason to put peddles is to ride on the street and clam they are bike but riding around at 40 mph who are you kidding. I can see them for off road but why bother with the peddles.

I'm doing my best not to cross the line. I do like big batteries but for distance I don't even need 40amps.

Back to Litespeed. I have been researching parts the pickings seem to be slim and response from companies is slow to not at all.

Contact bank, and request a credit card payment dispute for non delivered goods (chargeback).

Thats good to know
I had no clue.
I thought by a response or two it was a member building ebikes, that maybe moved to there from selling motors and controller like a few other ES members have done and found to much cs hassle or profit margins were to slim and moved to building complete ebikes and maybe niche parts like high powered. A great example would be Luna, remember in the early days he built a frame then started selling 18650's and moved up from there.

""""I have $2k riding on this, not to mention if I don't get this proprietary battery I'm pretty seriously boned all around because they're the only ones in the US who make a battery that fits my frame (qulbix 76)"""""

How is that battery proprietary? Is it married to the controller or something?
The frame is generic, you use whatever you want in it.
Cancel the order, and go with EM3EV if they still make custom batteries.

Lightspeed is also a major cloud-based point-of-sale system in the bicycle retail business. That's not confusing outside the bike shop, but it sure can be in the shop.
