This is an international board.
I propose to make a thread of mostly audio-video, so that even dial-up victims can hear the sounds;
sounds not of the past, but of the immortals.
There are Immortals with us today. Sir Paul, for one of very many.
However, I tend to focus on The Forgotten Ones, that we all may know that Life did NOT begin
with our own births in 1991 or 1921, etc.

BEGIN:

Now, do close your eyes? Or just shut off the monitor for the audio re-creations.
Those items to follow, that are mostly audio, are theater of the mind...timeless, indeed.

Formby. Bike-related
"I ride five miles and skid the rest"

So forgotten, but so great. Video.
A man plays a Mother, worried about her Wandering Daughter:

By listening to other dialects of English, we all learn the lingo, the nuances, the flavours,
which, today, are rapidly disappearing: all English speakers will, in time, sound like....=me= (ugh).
HANG on to your national/regional dialects. It's important to keep the garden full of varied flowers
of speech.

PS #1: one really has to view the latter video =twice=, at least, at ten minute, or more, intervals,
in order for even the brilliant (comic oriented) brain, to take it all in...to digest the gist of it.

Shot and hand-colored - frame by frame - at the end of the 19th Century.
Still captivating today, but just imagine what it must have been like to watch an image move and transform like this in 1899...

A beautiful example of the earliest cinematic ART.
One of my three favorite Lumière films which I've uploaded.
