I have chance to buy 2007 ktm 85cc motocross bike for 250€, this gave me another electric conversion idea. It's a disease isn't it
The bike blew a piston years ago and then it was standing with open engine outside some years. So, crank is also seized. It's very lightweight, 126lbs, so perfect candidate.
I'm planning of milling the crankcase open from ignition side and inserting Turnigy CA80-80 outrunner, so I can use original gearbox. Also I can use cylinder bolt holes on crankcase for mounting battery box.
Would it work?
What's the battery capacity? I was thinking using RC lipos in 16 cell configuration.
