Hi All,
I have this Kunray 3000w Motor & Controller: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004983654767.html
Coupled with this display (as supplied by Kunray): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005273049786.html
I'm in the process of making my own digital display and wondered if anyone knew the formula or how these displays are measuring speed??
It's a single wire (I don't believe it's the "one wire communication" wire though) for the speed signal and it carries varying voltage dependant on the speed. On my 72v kit, it seems to be from 0 - 40v @ max speed
My initial plan is to simply replicate the value shown on the universal display and then I can worry about accuracy etc etc
But it's obviously not simply displaying the voltage value, it's converting it to KMH somehow (I tried a different universal display design [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007110703459.html] also and that showed same speeds so guessing it's a generic formula or something to go from voltage to speed?)
[There's currently no possible mount point for hall sensor and magnet use - I may weld something together at a later date, for now I just want to get the speed as per the controller)
Many thanks in advance
