Hi everyone,

I'm looking to build an ebike based on a Bafang G310.

According to another excellent topic about this motor it should handle :
- 37A max phase current (40 Nm)
- 15A max rated current

I'd like to go with KT due to the amazing custom possibilities offered by this controller and the good quality/price ratio.

After that being said I'm lost. It's quite a mess with the reference number. Specially on Alibaba or Aliexpress it's really difficult to know exactly what I'm buying

On one of the most detailed website (see link below) the most powerfull controller is 500W sine wave (max current 25, max rated 12A) but I'll not get as much power as would like to fully exploit my G310 motor and it's also the mess with the wire. I'd prefer HIGO connectors version.

To conclude, If you know a good seller of KT controller, I'd be really happy to hear from you :)

My findings sent me to this KT48SVPRL controller :

But I'm still a little confused. There is no speed sensor wire :?

Do you think that it's just the wire that is missing or that this controller don't have this functionality ?

The seller told me the speed sensor and the throttle can be connected to the controller.

Could someone confirm this information ?

The picture does NOT look right. The speed sensor should have its own wire going to the controller. If the controller doesn't have a connector for it then I would assume it doesn't have that functionality. The throttle connector should only go to a throttle.

Thanks you confirm my doubt. I askedfor the controller datasheet. I'll let you know the answer.

As I said really difficult to know exactly what I'm buy when yoou look for a 1000w sine wave KT controller...

If the seller sent you that picture, the white wire in the 2x3 Hall connector is the speed sensor. Some motors will have that white wire coming out of the motor. It will share the red/black power supply wires used by the Hall sensors in the motor.

Your motor doesn't have the internal speed sensor? Then on that controller, you would have to do the required wiring yourself, bringing out 5V/ground, and sensor input to an external sensor. That's what the seller is telling you. Take the white wire p;us power/ground off the throttle.

The Greenbike kit doesn't show a speed sensor in the Hall connector, but they have a separate speed sensor connector. The PSPpower 20A sine wave controllers I used actually run a separate speed sensor plug in parallel with the white wire to the Hall connector.

If its a KT controller, they almost always have this basic wiring diagram.

The motor I used had no speed sensor wire.

Most KT sellers will also have a 3 wire, 2pc mag sensor

that you attach the swingarm and one to the spokes. It blips a signal each rotation and once you set the wheel size in the LCD3 display you get speed.

If your controller doesn't have that dedicated 3 pin plug for a "speed sensor" like the KT diagram, the seller is showing you his controller is capable, you just have to make your own 3 pin connection.

The white wire on the hall sensor plug is the speed sensor wire, to power it, you will need a ground and a 5v power source. The easiest place to get those is off the throttle.

The only caveat here, some motors will have an extra wire with the halls but it is a temp sensor.

It sounds good ! Thank you for your answer :)

The bafang B310 has an internal speed sensor but also has a kind of freewheel. So I guess that when the motor is not running the speed display will be zero even if the bike is moving :( That's why I'd like to had a speed sensor.
