Just bought this - iENYRID M9 Electric Scooter
I know its a chinese rip off brand of the KuKirin G3 Electric Scooter (Pre-order) I think.
Both chinese so i'm asking for trouble, affordable and I didnt want to buy a 2400w alternative for the same price that has bad reviews and has loose bolt issues.
It has the same size motor 1200w and 48v 18ah battery.

I'm a big guy, 6ft3 135kg, the scooter is rated at "150kg" only really using it to go back and forward to my work about 5 mile round trip and charging it on my lorry battery, slight uphill went coming home from work, dont want to use my car.

I want a bit extra power at the wheel for me being a tall overweight dude, planning on swapping the wheel with a 48v1500w instead of the 48v1200w? Is that fine and if so should I upgrade the controller?

Thanks

Most likely the controller and battery is the limiting factor, the scooter linked above indicates a "48V18AH" battery,
no mention of cell brand/model.

Have a read of this post, and read some of this guy's post's

He pushes a lot more power than stock levels through those scooter motors.

The scooter I bought, if I upgrade the battery and controller? what would you suggest?

I suppose a few questions are in order,
Have you already taken the 5 mile route on the scooter?
If so, did the scooter perform acceptably?

I would probably start with the controller first,
then upgrade the battery if it doesn't provide the
power/range needed.

I am a pretty die hard fan(and user) of the VESC controller ecosystem.
