Mercane widewheel battery repair

Hi all, my first post on this forum in a long time. Great to see things are still ticking along!
I purchased an as new 2019 mercane ww with dead battery.
On inspection it has two dead cell groups, remainder are at 3.5v.
I'm hoping someone can advise the following please.

1. Im assuming this pcb board is for balance wires only, is that correct?

2. If I desolder the tabs on pcb from cell groups and remove board and hot glue, will this allow access for cell group replacement, then resolder once new groups added?

I would say so, none of those traces could handle more than a light breeze, let alone the amps required for a motor

Again, I would agree. Looks like they put nickle tabs on the cells, bent them into the PCB, and blobbed the solder on.

I've done PCBs for balance wire distribution, it's a really nice setup to eliminate the typical rats nest of wires that BMS' end up creating.

Thanks for your comment. You were spot on, the board is purely for balance wires. Unfortunately the board was a bit brittle so it snapped in two when removing it.
I still used it to provide stability for the pack, I soldered the extended balance wires to the pads on the board.
