If your talking about the white goop on the capacitors then that was put there to support them and prevent them moving around.
Is it still working?

Whats the symptoms you're seeing.
The white is silicone to hold bulky capacitors from flopping around and stressing their leads.

The only possible damage I see is the LM317 voltage regulator in the first pic has some grey on it, but that could just be the photo or heatsink grease.

edit : beaten by Falco. Happy Australia Day guys.

yes the gray stuff came from the inside of the LM317 voltage regulators X2

no its not working dash has power thats all.

It's always handy to have a spare controller.

Joe Winkinatcha from Frankencycle, Ben (Wilson?), eMTB, Hyena, GlowWorm Cycles could probably all supply a local (i.e. east coast) controller, or point you in the direction of someone who could. You may need to replace connectors though.

Or go back to Cellman and wait out the Chinese New Year.

would be good to get it repaired local if possible
thanks for contacts

there is nothing wrong with it. they explained to you that the white stuff is adhesive to support the capacitors.

how did you test the controller to determine that it is not working?

is there 5V on the red wire to the throttle or the hall sensors?

do you have a voltmeter?

can you measure the input voltage to the controller inside the case? use the DC volts scale. measure between the black wire and the red wire.
