I got this bike from a former area supervisor a few years ago. He won it at an area supervisor company rally and the bike was too small for him. The bike is also too small for me so my buddy uses it for transportation. I don't know why I didn't post pics of it before now, so here you go.

I can't believe I didn't get any responses for this. I at least expected someone to say it had to be fake.;) If you look real close at the back of it, you'll notice the battery bag is resting on the carrier from a Currie RMB kit. So basically it has the battery from an Rmartin LX1, the carrier from a Currie kit and a hub kit from TheLAshop.com. Tomorrow I'm going to remove the hub motor and replace it with the Electro Drive motor again. I'm going to use the battery from my Skyline on it. I've put a hub kit on my Skyline with a different battery. It's kind of funny if you think about it. Without the kit the Mountain Dew bike is just a regular bike. With the kit it's like a bike on caffeine.

Like mt dew, it's a cheap buzz. So I didn't see much to comment on either. It reminds me of the Jeep bikes. I was sort of amazed they'd allow the jeep logo on a bike so cheap and unsuitable for off road riding.

A motor kit sure does make a ho hum bike into a hummer.

That's what's funny about this bike. The frame and parts are extremely low end yet somehow it has lasted over eight years. It's pretty heavy without the motor so it has to be a steel frame. My friend usually rides a bike until it no longer functions but it's like this one refuses to die.

I love my diet dew and I liked the look of this bike. One of the problems I see is the 2nd picture is out of focus
so hard to actually read what it says. Some pics in better lighting would be nice. Still cool ride.

Yeah I know. I took the pictures around dusk. I'll take some more except this time I'll take them in more sunlight and sitting down so I can hold the camera steadier.

Assuming street riding, the dew bike should be able to do it for a long time. Lots of cheap bikes fail fast because people just ride crappy. Right way and wrong way to hop a curb, etc. Plus they ride around with brakes and derailurs completely maladjusted.

Keep em even half ass tuned, and you can get a lot of miles out of cheap bikes.

I'm green with envy.
