Hi guys just finished building my 1000w ebike rear hub kit atmo im using 4 12v SLA 7ah batteries in series 48v to run the kit not very good with my weight 18 stone and the bike weight its pretty sluggish on hills and sags constantly feels more like a 250w motor lol,i'm planning to build a new lipo battery could you give me some advice if this setup would work well or would i be better off with a NMC bottle battery.........
Batteries
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/zippy-compact-4000mah-7s-25c-lipo-pack.html
Spec.
Capacity: 4000mAh
Voltage: 7S1P / 7 Cell / 25.9V
Discharge: 25C Constant / 35C Burst
Weight: 645g (including wire, plug & case)
i plan 2 in series to get 51.8v
then
4 banks of 2 in parallel to give 16ah
weight an issue at 4.8kg per pack ?
would i need a BMS ?
can anyone see any downsides of building this or should i just buy THIS premade 48v NMC bottle battery
