Hi,

I am considering to make a friction drive on my road bike. I have looked around a bit but as usual I am better at searching than at actually finding things. My idea is to build something like the Commuter Booster. I will add some fancy Arduino controls later ‘cause I like to. I will start with a simple spring return thumb control.

So far, my choice of parts is:
Motor

ESC

Battery

My bike as 26” wheels. Please comment on my parts choice. I choose the motor because of it’s low kv, the ESC because it is overkill and has datalogging, and the battery because I like 6S voltage, it keeps the amps low at my targeted 750W.

Cheers,

Hugo
